Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can reindeer be trained to lead?

Reindeer can be halter broke just like a horse or pony.

They can be led by the halter or they can pull a light two seater cutter.

  • Do they need a great deal of space?

In the summer, reindeer need adequate pasture similar to a horse.

In addition to their ration, they like to browse on grasses, leaves etc.

Please check with local provincial or state requirements for regulations.

  • Do they require special barns or facilities in the winter?

If reindeer have lots of clean snow during the winter, they would prefer to eat that instead of drinking from a watering bowl.

They require no bedding during the winter and no shelter.

Their coats are very dense and they love to jump and run in a snow storm.

  • How do they handle heat?

In the hot summer months reindeer need shelter from the sun and plenty of clean water, not much different than the average household pet.

  • Would reindeer be a good business opportunity in malls?

Yes, they would be a good business investment to promote Christmas trees sales, to be in Christmas parades as shown on our website, television Christmas promotions, and movies.

They have a very gentle disposition and once they have been halter broke to led, they develop a bond to their owners.

These animals are a natural wonder for children and adults alike, and will draw crowds wherever they may be.

  • Are they affordable?

Yes they are very affordable.  Please contact us and we will discuss our prices.
